Dutch Program for Tissue Engineering (DPTE)
General background
DPTE is a consortium of research groups from almost all Dutch universities and academic hospitals, joined by pioneering companies and supporting organizations. The objective of DPTE is to build a strong, coordinated knowledge infrastructure that integrates new knowledge, stimulates collaborations and facilitates utilization of Tissue Engineering products. The program consists of three pilars:
- Stem cell research
- Tissue culture
- Biocompatible materials
Objective
By consolidating and grouping the multi-disciplinary field of Tissue Engineering into three key platform technologies (stem cells, scaffolds and bioreactors) and coupling these with important clinical applications areas, DPTE will continue top quality research and will also disseminate new knowledge widely for clinical application and utilization.
- A top-quality research program;
- A knowledge dissemination program for internal and external target groups;
- A utilization and commercialization program
Project description
We have been mostly involved in tissue engineering. More specifically, we have performed microarray experiments to assess expression of cells in newly generated tissues.
